Aiden Cox

Hello! My name is Aiden (they/she), and I am a Master of Social Work student at Loyola University. I am an intern therapist practicing under the clinical supervision of Rachel Lehr, LCSW at CFC Therapy in Lincoln Park, Chicago.

Counseling is a safe place to process, explore your understanding of yourself, and practice new skills and ways of thinking that align with your goals and values. I take pride in a strengths-based, person-centered approach that prioritizes listening and positions you as the expert and me as a guide.

I especially enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals, who can find themselves sacrificing their needs, comfort, and identity to succeed in life or maintain relationships. This can especially be true if you had earlier life experiences that taught you it was safer not to be yourself. Together, in a collaborative environment without shame, we can find creative solutions to overcome challenges and balance the internal and external demands of life. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and my passion for authenticity and identity development includes exploration of gender, sexuality, and nontraditional relationship structures. I work with clients at all stages in their journey, including those who have never been to therapy before, and I am committed to working with you to create a pace and approach that feels comfortable and tailored to your needs.

In the past, I interned at a mental health drop-in center where I led support groups on topics like grief, healthy relationships, and self-care, and provided one-on-one support on wellness and recovery plans.
