Karen Chinca

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LICSW
Last Updated 30+ days ago

I specialize in treating adults (ages 17 and older) who are dealing with personal and professional stress. Many of my clients have difficulty managing their lives due to mental health issues. I work with many college and graduate students who are struggling with issues related to college adjustment, academic and social stress, and homesickness.
My style is interactive, warm, and compassionate. Using the strengths of the therapeutic relationship, as well as specialized skills, I am able to optimize treatment for my clients.
In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) extensively in my practice. Helping clients change the way they think and feel will help alter dysfunctional thought patterns and behaviors, improve their mood, and ultimately enable them to lead more productive and enjoyable lives.
I look forward to speaking with you further about how I might be able to help you.
