I’m a compassionate therapist, who treats a wide variety that effect your growth, functioning and relationships; each client is unique. I employ an eclectic approach, using Cognitive Behavioral therapy as a framework. Together, we will work to collaboratively set goals, and then look at ways your thoughts and actions effect your feelings and behaviors. My office provides a safe, comfortable environment in which to help you develop the skills necessary to achieve independence and empowerment. Presently, I am doing therapy online.
I see adults, students, couples, families and children. Along with Cognitive Behavioral, I use Humanistic, Gestalt and Attachment Theories. A good deal of my work takes place in the “present”, however I am also interested in how your family history comes to bear on your current issues. Mindfulness provides help to many.
Having had a first career in the creative arts, I work well with clients who are creative people. I also enjoy helping people find their creativity. Having taught graduate students how to do Marriage and Family Systems for 12 years, I’m familiar with many theories and ways to meet each client’s unique needs.
