This is a clinic or agency with multiple providers, including:
I am a psychotherapist and Assistant Professor of Psychology at Dominican University of California, where I teach Abnormal Psychology, Statistics, Addiction and Recovery, Human Sexuality, and Counseling and Communication. I received a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. I have 9 years of clinical experience with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, with a particular focus on college student mental health. My clinical training sites include Haight Ashbury Psychological Services in San Francisco, the Brandeis University Counseling Center in Waltham, Massachusetts, the VA Medical Center in Bedford, Massachusetts, and the Johns Hopkins University Counseling Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
I am a culturally sensitive therapist and am committed to promoting equality and justice for those who are part of marginalized groups. I also promote body acceptance and believe in the Health at Every Size (HAES) paradigm. HAES is rooted in the philosophy that weight stigma is harmful to mental and physical health, and that people of all body shapes and sizes should be treated with respect, dignity, and agency in health care settings. Reach out to me if you’d like to learn more!
