Hello, I'm Suzanne. Do you ever feel like you are not being heard by friends, family, or medical professionals? Are you feeling overwhelmed or anxious due to changes in your life? Maybe you are not feeling like YOU anymore, as if something has changed? I can help! I offer experience, knowledge, and true understanding for the complexities of the journey. My focus is helping you feel supported during the changes life throws at you and helping you build tools to be the best version of you.

In 2009, I graduated from Argosy University Atlanta with a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling. Now, as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), I have been working in private practice for three years. Prior to private practice, I worked for a major insurance company approving mental health services for all levels of mental health and substance abuse care, as well as working at the Georgia Access and Crisis 24-7 line helping people all over the state of Georgia. I started in the field working with adults with severe mental illness (SMI) and then I moved into working at a Community Services Agency, working in the homes with Medicaid patients under the age of 18. I currently work with clients over the age of 15 experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, and chronic illnesses using an eclectic approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and existential therapy. I believe people are capable of creating the lives they want while living in a kind and genuine way.

I became a counselor because I understand how frustrating it can feel to not be heard or understood by family, friends, medical professionals, or mental health professionals on your journey towards wellness. I decided that my path was to advocacy and to be a resource to others. I am kink and LGBTQIA+ friendly, no judgment here! I feel an environment that is full of empathy, engagement, and safety is the best way to start this journey. I work with clients age 15 and older at this time. Call me or schedule an appointment today to start your journey.
