We use a process of looking at the imagination, loose associations, and dream material to help integrate subconscious depths with conscious material. The invisible is welcome and we will work best to support you. Surprise us with the breadth of the unknown. We work with individuals, not issues.
I'm a licensed psychologist and my experience includes over 15 years of working in university counseling centers at both large public and small private universities.
My clinical approach is multi-disciplinary and rooted in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and humanistic psychology. I also have a background in integrative health and wellness, which can contribute to a more in-depth perspective on treatment. In addition, my work is relational and informed by the belief and the research that the essence of therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. It is this relationship that can encourage true and thorough transformation. My style is genuine, collaborative, interpersonal, direct, and non-judgemental, and I encourage clients to be true to themselves and transparent. Although treatment is based on an individual's needs and goals, primary objectives in treatment are to help clients (re)connect to their confidence and curiosity and to reinforce their capacity and resiliency.
Therapy is not just about treating symptoms; it's a journey of reclaiming who you are beneath the survival strategies, expectations, and inherited stories. I specialize in working with people who feel disconnected from their authentic selves – people who are aching and ready to live with more alignment, clarity, and inner freedom. My role is to serve as a guide: someone who walks beside you as you navigate the terrain of healing, insight, and transformation. Whether you're working through complex trauma, military-related trauma, religious wounding, the aftermath of abuse, anxiety, depression, or the unique challenges of neurodivergence – I offer a space where ALL parts of you are welcome. My approach is deeply person-centered: I believe you are the expert of your own experience. Together, we’ll collaborate to shape a path that reflects your goals, values, and inner wisdom. Using a trauma-informed and integrative style, I draw from modalities like Jungian depth work, parts-work, and narrative reframing. I often incorporate symbol, story, and guided imagery to support deeper insight and self-connection. For those who are spiritually inclined, I also enjoy weaving in faith-based or meaning-centered exploration. As someone who is neurodivergent, I am also passionate about supporting other neurodivergent folks. I offer a shame-free, identity-affirming space where difference is not pathologized, but honored.
Welcome to restoring Hope counseling. I believe that everyone has the ability to grow and heal. As humans, we need connection and support through our journey. The purpose of therapy is to provide you with the opportunity to explore a variety of concerns related to your current situation. I work with clients through a collaborative therapeutic relationship that fosters acceptance, connection, and hope. Our past does not define us, but it does inform who we are today. I Specialized an empowering clients to find healing and renewal as you explore dynamics of the past and how they interact with the present. My practice consists of working with adults and adolescents dealing with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, relationship concerns, divorce, parenting issues, childhood abuse, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. I utilize an integrative, attachment based, trauma informed, emotion-focused, experiential, relational model with an emphasis on mindfulness and self- compassion. I specialize in empowering clients to find healing and renewal by exploring the dynamics of the past and how they influence present thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.
I believe psychotherapy is a project between two people where sources of emotional pain and anguish are discovered and revisited, where what has been denied, unimagined, forgotten, or come to be unspeakable can become imagined, felt and spoken. The process generates an understanding of ourselves that is vastly more dynamic than what our relationships, politics and culture allow, leading to the easing of suffering and the creation of new possibilities. The therapy I provide is open, an invitation. There is a freedom to it that takes courage and tolerance. It can involve a deconstructive or constructive momentum where you may not necessarily be told what to say or how to feel. It is an invitation to notice what comes to mind and what does not. What can emerge in a therapy is dynamic. It can surprise, frustrate, thrill and provoke. These experiences are worked through together. As you bring yourself as fully as possible to what confuses or afflicts, I will help guide you with my understanding of the mind toward a life of growth and healing.
Anxiety!, Stress!, pressure to conform and hide who you are can be so exhausting. Whether you are neurodivergent, autistic, queer, gender expansive, or experience multiple intersections of being marginalized, the last thing you need is to be told how to conform to systems of oppression that don’t value you. If you are longing to really be known and celebrated for who you are, let’s talk and work together so you have the nourishing environment in therapy where you can experience the healing and growth you desire to have a vibrant life.

You are enough. There is nothing wrong with your body. You have always been deserving of love, respect, and softness. Yes, even you! Whether it’s strengthening your relationship with yourself through developing more self-compassion, guiding you in how to communicate more effectively with your partner, or helping you navigate a rough conflict with your best friend, I am here to provide you with non-judgmental support every step of the way. My clients are often fat folks, queer besties, sex workers, and people experiencing chronic pain or chronic illness. This is a space for you to be seen, heard, and validated in your beauty and complexity. I will always be transparent with you about the ins and outs of the therapeutic process because I believe that collaboration and consent are vital to creating safety and trust in our time together. I view therapy as a potential cozy space for corrective, reparative experiences that can start to soften clients’ inner experiences. That’s the whole idea behind the name “Soft Spot”: melting away the hardness that our society or trauma forces unto us and, in place, deepening into more of the lovely softness that’s always been there. You get to delight in the pleasure of being you.
My primary focus is on helping individuals and couples who are dealing with the impact of such issues as ADHD/ASD/AuDHD, anxiety, depression, recovery from narcissistic abuse, and PMDD. The therapy I offer is active and focused on creating change in specific areas, established by the client. I customize therapy to the individual or couple, using a variety of approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, to assist the client in boundary setting/holding, improved communication skills, and healthier emotion regulation. My goal is to help people see how the various pieces of their lives have shaped their responses, so that they can connect with self-compassion, gain insight around where they are getting stuck, and learn new beliefs and skills. If you are looking for support navigating how to create change for yourself, I hope to hear from you!
Are you struggling to heal due to trauma, disabling condition(s), chronic illness, loss of someone close? Or perhaps you are having a hard time adapting to a change in your life or depression or anxiety? Have you tried to solve the problems in your life on your own & realized you need help from someone else? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you have made the right choice by being here. I know seeking help can be hard & I am so glad you have taken the courageous first steps. Together we can work to equip you with the necessary tools to help you face & overcome your challenges.
I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. My name is Stephanie (Stephanie or Stevie is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 4 years (prior to that, in person). If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, and to help you to experience a present that is not overshadowed or negatively impacted by situations and events from your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, but have treated many others as well. While experience and education are an absolute necessity to do this work, I believe that my lived experience has had a profound impact on both my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and to be a more effective therapist. My ability to connect with clients has only been strengthened by my personal experiences with child sexual abuse, growing up with a parent with serious mental illness, and managing chronic depression since childhood, as well as through supporting loved ones through the complexities of mental illness, suicide, sexual abuse, special needs, chronic illness/pain, estrangement, dissociation, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AD/HD, divorce, parenting, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control. While I am not generally a "glass half full" person, nor do I necessarily believe that things happen for a reason, I do believe that if you're smart, you'll look for something to learn from the pain and from the healing. Doing so has lead me to this work and I want so much to show you what is on the other side of your pain. My background has also provided me with experiences that can be drawn upon when building relationships with clients. I have had the privilege of having known, grown up with, and cared deeply about people from a variety of backgrounds, races, nationalities, gender identities, sexual orientations, etc. In terms of strengths, I am unfailingly authentic, resilient, intelligent, curious, non-judgmental, and (at least in my personal life) hilarious ;) And by the way, all of those strengths? They were not so much developed as they were uncovered…through therapy. :) Please visit my website for blog and feedback from clients: www.of2mindstherapy.com *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. I am currently licensed to treat clients in NJ, CT, OR, and WA Please reach out to see if your insurance is accepted. Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Sarah Bond. As a holistic psychotherapist and psychologist resident, I specialize in helping individuals heal pain and suffering, reconnect with their true selves, and create more authentic, fulfilling lives.
Dr. Rademan starts treatment with a thorough and detailed inventory of life experiences that could be contributing to current concerns. She also explores body pain and chronic health concerns as those can be impacted by trauma and emotional wounding. Just like with physical health, mental health can be impacted by earlier 'injuries' that flare up later in life. Many people have been in and out of therapy throughout their life and haven't found sustained relief due to not healing the root issue or concern. At the foundation of treatment, Dr. Rademan utilizes a trauma and cognitive focused framework. Trauma is not only major violence or death, but can also be a loss of a relationship, not getting your needs met when you were a child, or ongoing major stressors. Trauma can be described as anything that significantly changed the way you view yourself or the world.
