My goal is to support your growth and well-being through a collaborative, compassionate counseling relationship. Together, we’ll identify challenges, explore thought and emotional patterns, and work toward meaningful goals. My approach is practical, affirming, and values-based. I specialize in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and work with concerns including anxiety, depression, chronic illness, life transitions, burnout, and relationships. I enjoy helping clients build coping skills, improve communication, and navigate identity, grief, stress, and women’s health. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My approach is shaped by specialized training in trauma-informed practices, emphasizing trust, choice, and connection. In addition, I’m trained in clinical supervision and writing WPATH letters for gender-affirming surgery. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll create a supportive space to explore what matters to you and find practical ways to move forward. Your feelings are valid, and I’m here to help you discover the strength and clarity within yourself.

Welcome! I specialize in parts work, EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I can help you heal your nervous system, expand your emotional capacity, and relate more effectively. I work with adults who feel stuck in thoughts, emotions, or relationship patterns that just aren’t working. I also work with those struggling with a sudden stressor or those who want to work through past events. This can include things like trauma, depression, a challenging transition or the loss of a loved one, or low self-esteem and persistent self-criticism or doubt. You might feel the impact at work or in school, in your close relationships, or in your relationship with yourself. My collaborative approach integrates evidence-based therapy methods with compassion, humor, and attuned listening. I am directive as needed, provide structure, and welcome long silences, fast-paced intensity, and everything in between. Together, we will explore past experiences, patterns, and what is happening in the here and now to foster clarity, cultivate change, and increase satisfaction in your life and relationships. We will also practice concrete skills such as assertive communication, boundary setting, and emotion regulation. I find that most people who come to see me are ultimately longing for a sense of inner peace, personal agency, and meaningful connections. Change is possible. Let’s work towards it together. I offer a free 15-20 minute initial consultation call to go over questions and see if we might be a good fit.

I work with people navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, boundary-setting, life transitions, and patterns that leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. Many of my clients are overwhelmed by stress, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or difficult past experiences that continue to impact their daily lives. Together, we explore these patterns, build on existing strengths, and create meaningful change that supports greater balance, confidence, and well-being. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. I utilize an integrative framework that considers the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, values, and relationships. I am also an EMDRIA-approved EMDR therapist and offer EMDR when it is clinically appropriate and aligned with your goals. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and finding the right therapist is important. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore challenges openly and move toward the changes that matter most to you. If my approach sounds like a good fit, I welcome you to reach out.

I specialize in supporting adults with anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I take a collaborative approach to therapy that incorporates individuality and the wisdom clients have about themselves, along with evidence-based approaches. I view my role as walking alongside you in your therapy journey to provide support in setting and accomplishing goals that are aligned with your values. I worked in 3 college counseling centers prior to working in private practice. As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I particularly enjoy working with individuals also in these communities.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first experience or you're trying to balance school, work, relationships, and everything else life is asking of you. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported while we work together toward the changes that matter most to you. I have worked in the mental health field since 2000 and have over 25 years of experience helping adolescents, young adults, and adults navigate life's challenges. I am licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Colorado and provide therapy through secure telehealth. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every person brings unique strengths, experiences, and goals, so I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs. My work integrates attachment theory, nervous system regulation, and experiential therapies including Somatic Experiencing®, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR and the Flash Technique, Compassion Focused Therapy, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and biofeedback. I enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, ADHD, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, and the unique challenges that often arise during college and early adulthood. I also have extensive experience working with helping professionals and graduate students. In addition to providing therapy, I teach workshops, provide consultation, and offer clinical supervision for mental health professionals, allowing me to stay actively engaged in both clinical practice and ongoing professional development.

I find I am most helpful working with individual transition age youth and adults seeking help with bipolar and mood disorders, identity exploration, setting boundaries and navigating relationships, learning coping skills, making sense of traumatic experiences, and unpacking privilege and learning to be a better ally. I am comfortable and knowledgeable about topics relating to sex and sexuality, gender affirmation, sex positivity, poly/non-monogamy, and intersections of identity. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been practicing therapy since 2015 and have been in social services for over 15 years, serving youth and adults experiencing legal consequences, houselessness, and severe mental illness in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My style tends to be curious, nonjudgmental and empathic, and I take a relational and collaborative approach. You are going to be putting in hard work and it is my job to be a good guide by offering insights, direction, and skill building. I am trained primarily in narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy. I use an anti-oppressive, person centered, and trauma-informed framework. I strive to be culturally sensitive, anti-racist and queer/LGBTQIA+ affirming. I also know that I am not perfect, and I will ask for your honest feedback throughout the therapy process so that I can adjust and adapt my approach to best fit your needs. I am a queer [white cis male] person and have friends and family members with a lovely mix of intersecting identities. I started struggling with my identity, mental illness and legal run ins as a teenager, which led into a career path as a peer advocate, mentor, and mental health provider. I've done a lot of work on myself that I find valuable to my practice. While I believe my personal experience gives me knowledge, insight, and empathy, I also know that everyone has their own unique experiences; I am open to sharing parts of my story with you when it is helpful, whether that is to offer validation, challenge stigma, or to just get to know each other better. A bit more about me: I am a dog dad, artist, and gaymer. My recharging activities include chilling at the dog park, traveling and backpacking with friends, sketching, reading comic books and cooking.

You feel alone, prioritize the needs of others, and wonder if things will change, asking: "What am I protecting? Who am I trying to be? What do I want?" Relationships (breakups, separation, dating, divorce) can bring up anxiety, regret, fear and self-judgment. These effect the relationship we have with ourselves. Resentments, anger, and guilt - toward others and within ourselves make us feel disconnected and alone. As a therapist, my aim is to help you reconnect with your SELF. Everyone is different. Our expectations and ideals are influenced by family history, surrounding cultural expectations, and unique experiences. Our therapy sessions help you develop tools to define relationships you want, conquer anxiety, past regrets, self doubt, negative self-image, and slowly dispose of the negative loud inner-monologue (which comes up frequently, when you are trying to navigate your road ahead.) I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist using Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) tools to develop a solid foundation of self - (via telehealth, online) in both Oregon and Washington State. Specialties: Individuals dealing with sleep issues/insomnia, difficulty with focus (ADHD); folks going through separation/divorce to develop purpose, motivation and intention; individuals in relationships cultivate/improve connection; single individuals build a sense of self (aligned with values) which can be applied toward dating and future relationships. __________________________________________ Interested in seeing if we connect? *I am licensed in both Oregon and California, and can work with students who often travel between these two states.* When the difficult experiences from your past are still impacting you, it is hard to know what to do. You don’t feel like yourself anymore, and the people in your life are starting to notice. It’s coming out at school, in your relationships, in your mood. You might be thinking “I just want to move on with my life. Why can’t I just get over it already?” But no matter how many times you try to move on, you still feel stuck. You are not alone. I help people who have been through difficult childhood, sexual, and relationship experiences look at how their experiences have shaped them, and explore how to take back their lives from the memories that have burdened them for so long. Together, we will build a trusting relationship where you can feel safe enough to explore what happened in your life, the ways you have survived, and how to get unstuck so you can move toward a life that is ruled by you, and not by the past. I know reaching out to begin therapy can be an overwhelming experience. I offer a free 15-20 minute consultation, where you can share a bit about what you would like to work on, ask me any questions you may have, and we can determine whether I might be a good fit for your needs. Please feel free to visit my website to learn more and schedule a consultation. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

During a therapy session, I am an active participant in the process, bringing genuine presence, empathy, and validation. As my client, I view you as the expert of your own experience. My role is collaborator in the therapy process, listening for themes and patterns, asking questions to encourage self-exploration, and (with curiosity, respect, and perhaps some humor) challenging unhelpful or "stuck" patterns. Trauma, loss, life transitions, dysfunctional relationships, and other stressors can cause emotional pain that is hard to manage alone and can block self-understanding. Developing compassion and insight about yourself and your experiences is the first step in: (1) accepting yourself as you are now, and (2) trying new ways of being. My goal for our work together is to progress towards respect and acceptance of the experiences you have had and the person you are now, while also enhancing self-awareness and coping styles in a way that empowers you to find ever more ease and satisfaction in your life.

Hi, I’m Jess and I am so glad you are here. Sometimes there are seasons in our lives where we feel stuck or lost, like we don’t measure up to the standards set around us. We may find ourselves struggling in our relationships, or even in old patterns of behavior we can’t seem to break. If you find yourself in this space today, I am here to help. I am honored to walk alongside clients as a compassionate listener and guide and believe in a strengths-based and collaborative approach to healing. In my work as a therapist, I utilize narrative therapy in order to assist clients in discovering how past and present experiences have shaped the story of their lives. I am also a HAES-aligned practitioner with years of experience in working with individuals struggling with eating disorders. I believe that we are wildly capable of healing and creating more true and beautiful stories for our lives- so let's get started.
