Ramir's Counseling Center of Hope was created by a Licensed Professional Counselor who had a vision to encourage, motivate and provide access to tools needed to overcome current circumstances. Ramir stands for Rising Above My Inner Rival. Ramir is confirmation that we can accomplish anything regardless of the opposition we face. On March 7, 2018 the Ramir's Counseling Center of Hope, PLLC was established and confirmation was received that the storm was not meant to last always. As a child, mental health was present in my family and thus prepared me for the dynamics of not only the diagnosis but more importantly the person and those that surround them. Growing up, I played a part and everyone was treated the same regardless of their mental status, pill count, change in mood, IQ, anxiety level or temporary isolation that would occur. We, as a family, understood what it would take to maintain our family. My goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor is to provide an environment that reciprocates what my family and community offered. There is no special formula that can erase your situation but there is a way to get through it. The Inner Rival is the battle we have within, which is usually hidden from the world. Although at times, what we are facing is situational, it has an effect on us internally. The purpose of Ramir's Counseling Center of Hope, PLLC, is to work with each client to expose, address and conquer whatever that may be. So, I ask, are you ready? Below you will find my educational background. Education: University of North Texas Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Minor in Social Science Certificate in Substance Abuse Studies Amberton University Master of Arts in Professional Counseling *I am a Therapist licensed to practice in the state of Texas.

Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to enhancing self-confidence and providing support to improve mental health. I specialize in empowering individuals to overcome struggles related to depression, anxiety, and relationship health. My approach is centered on fostering a supportive environment where personal growth and healing can flourish.
My name is Bintou Schoen and I am a board certified general adult psychiatrist. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background working with people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, psychosis, social anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship problems, etc. I received my undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. I then attended the Medical College of Georgia where I obtained my medical degree. After that, I received my psychiatric training at the University of South Florida in Tampa Florida. I perform psychiatric evaluations and formulate treatment plans with input from my patients - no single approach is right for every individual. I very much like a positive and practical approach to mental health treatment including medication management and therapy. I think it is important to find balance in your life and it starts with improving self-esteem and good self care. I like a person centered approach meaning finding solutions that work for you based on your values and priorities.
The clients I see are sometimes in college experiencing feelings of overwhelm or feeling low. These clients describe their challenges as feeling, “como con miedo,” and also, “no se que tengo.” Other clients I see are future counselors who are at the beginning of their careers and facing imposter syndrome ( “I must’ve slipped through the cracks to get to where I am now”), self-criticism (“Why can’t I get my life together!"), or burnout (feeling fatigued and like you can never catch up). These clients are usually part of activist movements or workplaces and I believe in helping the healers that are out in the world making a positive impact on society. I benefited greatly from my own experiences with counseling when I was in grad school (still do) and I hope to provide the same non-judgmental opportunities to cry or laugh or both to future clients. In my work I value humility, curiosity, self-compassion and humor. I believe these are needed to provide authenticity and support at a time when people starting out in their fields of work are taking in new information that is stretching/challenging perspectives and care for the self is a necessity to continue doing challenging work.

Do you find yourself fighting with negative thoughts? We all go through life, experiencing difficulties that shape us in different ways. These changes can make following a healthy lifestyle difficult, including adding to these negative thoughts. I believe that understanding and accepting your life experiences is key to returning to a healthy lifestyle. Drawing from my personal struggles with mental health and neurodivergence, I take a highly personalized approach to therapy. I primarily practice person-centered talk therapy, while integrating Acceptance and Commitment, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to tailor our sessions to your personal needs. I understand that reaching out for help can be challenging, but I strive to maintain a judgment-free space where you can express whatever is on your mind. If you’re ready to take the next step, please feel free to email or call me anytime during the week. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey towards healing and growth!

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I would first like to congratulate you on taking steps towards your mental health journey. It takes a lot of courage and strength to do so :D. I have chosen to spend my life helping others the way I would have liked to have in my own upbringing. For lack of a better term, life mollywhopped me around in my young adult life. I don't want that to be the case for you. I would love to meet you and help you navigate the big changes you're experiencing. Please feel free to reach out and get scheduled today!
Hi, I’m Regina (she/her), a queer, neurodivergent therapist who believes healing happens in spaces where you’re truly seen and affirmed. I bring compassion, curiosity, and a healthy dose of irreverence into the therapy room, and I deeply value the trust it takes to show up authentically—especially when the world hasn’t always made space for who you are. I primarily work with women and nonbinary adults—especially those who are late-diagnosed neurodivergent, part of the LGBTQ+ community, or navigating non-traditional relationships (like ENM or kink). If you're untangling trauma, questioning your place in a society that often feels hostile or broken, or working to rebuild self-worth in a neurotypical, cis-hetero world—you’re in the right place. My approach is eclectic and collaborative. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs, rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all mold. This work isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about reconnecting with your values, making meaning, and feeling more at home in your own mind and body. If you’re looking for a therapist who affirms your identity, respects your complexity, and understands what it means to feel like an outsider—I’d be honored to walk with you. Schedule a free consultation so we can chat about whether I’d be a good fit.
