Dr. Shelly Greene is a licensed psychologist and neuropsychologist with a private practice located in Newton and as part of a group practice at the Pastoral Counseling Center in Westborough, Massachusetts. She provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults in areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and learning challenges. She also welcomes clients who are seeking to explore spiritual, religious, and existential questions and concerns. Shelly utilizes a variety of approaches. She also administers neuropsychological evaluations and consultative services for children, adolescents, and adults with cognitive, learning and memory, psychiatric, emotional, behavioral, and developmental differences and challenges. As a neuropsychologist, she practices at Lifedimensions Neuropsychological Services in Braintree, MA and at her private practice in Newton. In addition, Shelly’s practice has included working with individuals and groups to gain insights and understanding in constructive use of personality differences derived from Jungian psychology. Dr. Greene earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Boston University. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, now William James College. Clients that work with me are often experiencing big life changes, may be showing signs of stress and burnout, or might be noticing challenges popping up in their relationships. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of experience. My areas of specialty include: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, conflicts around cultural identity, life transitions, and academic and career struggles. I am particularly interested in helping clients who face conflicts around their race, culture, and identity. This may include first and second-generation immigrants who have the challenge of straddling multiple cultures and finding their authentic voice. I work pragmatically and collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where I received the Walter Burke Award in Clinical Excellence and a Distinction of Honors on my Ph.D. Comprehensive Qualifying Paper. At Northwestern, I trained in psychodynamic and dialectical behavioral therapy and published several research papers on juvenile detainees and violence in persons with severe mental illness in peer-reviewed journals. I completed my internship at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY where I treated adolescents, families, and adults in outpatient clinics, a Psychiatric Emergency Room, and on an adult inpatient unit. Afterward, I worked as an individual and group psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at the counseling center at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. At Fordham, I was also the outreach coordinator in which I regularly interacted with marginalized students on campus. In addition to working as a psychotherapist, I worked at the Harvard Business School assisting with the organizational psychology course, “Authentic Leadership Development.”

Dr. Kazuko Montgomery earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Antioch University New England. She also holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Saint Michael’s College. She has extensive experience working with diverse populations, as an individual and family psychotherapist and conducting neuropsychological, cognitive, and psychological assessments. She provides counseling for depression, anxiety, and ADHD and its related executive function challenges. Dr. Montgomery’s training includes University of Vermont counseling center. She integrates many theories and approaches in order to meet the unique needs of her clients, including but not limited, cognitive behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and executive function coaching among others. Dr. Montgomery was born and raised in Japan and understands the struggles and impacts of immigration/multicultural/social adjustment issues.
